It is resistant to moisture, rot and insect damage, which means your table will be able to withstand the weather and retain its stunning appearance. Teak wood is sourced from teak palms, a hardy plant native to Asian monsoon forests. Unlike European tree species, teak has a high concentration of oily substances and silicic acid. The specific composition allows teak wood furniture not to absorb water (and, therefore, not to swell), to be resistant to mechanical damage and environmental factors – ultraviolet radiation, temperature extremes, precipitation.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE AND MAINTAINCE:

The resinous oil of which teak is naturally impregnated, makes it particularly resistant to atmospheric agents. Small imperfections of the material do not alter its durability and quality but confer uniqueness to each piece.The original color of teak can turn to silver-grey over time.If not treated regularly with special products, teak can change color and be subject to natural cracks.To clean the product- before an eventual winter storage-it is advisable to treat teak wood using a soft brush following the grain of wood to better remove dust or dirt, then leave outside to dry at warm temperature.Treat and oil the product: It is advisable to first try on a non-visible part .Wood is a natural material that changes and stabilizes over time. Screws and bolts must be checked and tightened regularly, otherwise the product can be dangerous and damage may occur. Do not cover the product with materials that do not allow air pass through them causing humidity (for example pvc or plastic table mat).It is advisable to store the product in a dry and ventilated place before winter or during the long periods it is not in use, in order to preserve its characteristics over time.
